Adoption Subsidy Advocates: Fee-Based Services
Adoption Subsidy Advocates provides free initial consultation and related policy information to adoptive families, attorneys, advocates and agency professionals. For ongoing assistance or more intensive services a negotiable fee will be charged based upon the scope of the work.
Fee-Based Services:
- Assistance with negotiating an adoption assistance agreement.
- Preparation for administrative appeal hearings.
- Participation as an advocate at administrative appeal hearings.
- Training workshops on adoption assistance, reimbursement for non-recurring costs and state service subsidies.
- Detailed research and writing related to an appeal for adoption assistance. or other policy issues pertaining to adoption subsidy.
The suggested fee is $50. If the negotiation or appeal is successful, an additional $50 is suggested. The initial $50 includes the e-guidebook Funding and Negotiation of Adoption Assistance in Ohio and, as appropriate, the e-guidebook Appealing Agency Decisions on The Amount of Title IV-E Adoption Assistance. The fee is always negotiable.
